In 2021, domestic tourists were responsible for almost 70% of the occupancy reached by hotels outside Tbilisi. In Q2 2021, the average number of monthly domestic visits increased by 27.3% compared to the same period of 2019.
The average number of nights spent by domestic tourists more than doubled in Q2 2020 compared to Q2 2019, whereas in Q2 2021 it decreased by 32% compared to Q2 2020 and stood at 1.78 nights.
