flynas to Operate 21 Weekly Flights from Saudi Arabia to Georgia from 17 May

Saudi Arabia's national carrier flynas will operate 21 direct weekly flights from Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam to Tbilisi and Batumi.

From 17 May, Saudi Arabia's national carrier flynas will operate 21 direct weekly flights — from Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam to Tbilisi and Batumi.

Why it matters

Operating 21 flights a week during the COVID-19 period signals the airline's confidence in Georgia's tourism potential, given that a schedule of this size also carries considerable financial risk for the carrier.

3,500 visitors a week

For Georgia, it represents an opportunity to strengthen the tourism sector and welcome more than 3,500 high-spending visitors a week from Saudi Arabia.

The announcement was published by Mariam Kvrivishvili, then head of the Georgian National Tourism Administration, on her Facebook page.
